Anyways, the rules state that leather must be 8oz. or more to be armor. However, I was wondering if the same law was applied to studded leather subjects. Understandable if it does, but then there is less point to leather vs studded. Or might it make sense to say if it is proper studded leather; then it can be allowed down to 6oz.?

id actually like to get rid of studded leather as a clasification, as the "studs" in the art most likely depicted plates rivited to a leather cover like a jack or a brigendine. Adding studs to just leather arguably actually makes it weaker from all the holes and makes points for things to catch on. IF it is kept it shouel be held to the same rules s regular leather.
